Nocturne 2017

Nocturne is an annual art festival that takes place on an evening in October, with various pieces of static or performance art scattered around both Dartmouth and Halifax. I went over to take some photos, as I have for the last few years. As always, I only managed to take in a small portion of the various pieces throughout the city.

Nature wasn't about to be outdone, and put on this sunset show which we caught from the ferry.

Not part of the festival, but the Alexander took on a golden hue while under construction.

"To Air is Human" consisted of pieces of white cloth hung around the boardwalk by Sands at Salter.

Chris Titus blowing glass at the Garrison Brewery.

The Halifax Circus put on a fire show next to the United Church on Barrington Street.

"Sky,Pink,Blue" involved a fog machine and some lighting set up in the Public Gardens. The fog was coloured, but I converted this to black and white.

"Red Green Blue", another piece in the Public Gardens.

"Night nigh lightbulb" at the band stand in the Public Gardens.

"Trophy", at the Alderney Ferry Terminal.
